Monday July 26th Surfcasters Report

7/26/2021

With the moon tides pushing water through the Canal at high speeds, anglers like myself have been hoping fish would be caught in the mix again. Unfortunately, the bigger stripers had pushed out and far enough north chasing pogies and mackerel all the way up to Boston. With saying that, there is still possibility to be catching fish in the known structured areas on the tail end of the tides. The Railroad Bridge is continuing to stay consistent with slot size fish like it has all year, while the east end is seeing activity with the same size fish. For anglers searching for the larger class, the Canal is not the place to look right now. With hopes bait pushes down the coast back towards the Cape, I think we will see some fish push through within the coming weeks. Tight Lines everyone!
