Monday July 12th Offshore Fishing Report

7/12/2021

With Hurricane Elsa comin gup the coast over the weekend, not many people were able to get offshore the past few days. Stone from Red Top said his fear is that the high winds and moon tides may have pushed the larger Bluefin all the way out to Georges Bank. Before the weekend storm, fish were still being caught out at the Sword and east of Chatham. The smaller Bluefin were also still being held south of the Vineyard. The Yellowfin bite out at the Canyons has been very good, especially with the Bluewater Tournament starting this week. If your boat has the range to make it down there, expect a bit of a fleet. No word of sharks has been passed around quite yet, but I believe they are out there waiting to take a live bluefish on a kite. Hopefully the wind and tide did not pull the fish further offshore, but kept them close to home so Cape boaters can still get a tight line. Good Luck to everyone this week.
