Lots of Fish. Lots of Bait.

Since our last report, we have continuously seen consistent fish in the morning down the canal. They have been feeding on mostly sea herring and mackerel, but there have been sand eels around too. The abundance of bait is a great sign for the season to come, but fish can be a little finicky on what they are taking. For those finicky fish, lighten up your leader and/or switch to fluorocarbon. Sp minnows and herring tsunami shads have been the hot lures this week.

Squid fishing is still hot, get 'em while you can! Pink and blue jigs have been the favorites this year.

Tog have been finicky but people are still catching them. Green crab as always is the preferred bait.
